Position and direction · Year 2
In Year 2 you learn: quarter, half and three-quarter turns.
Position and direction tell us where things are and how to get there. We describe turns as fractions of a whole turn (or in degrees), use compass directions, and give moves on a grid as so many squares across and up.
Key facts
- Your right is a quarter turn clockwise from the way you face; your left is a quarter turn anticlockwise.
