Terms and community rules

Last updated 20 October 2026. By using Calcali you agree to these. They’re short on purpose.

Community rules

  1. Be kind. Everyone here is learning, including teachers.
  2. Help people learn. Explain your method; don’t just hand over homework answers.
  3. Keep personal details private. No real names for students, phone numbers, addresses, schools in posts, links to social media, or meeting up.
  4. Only post what you have the right to. Don’t copy textbooks, exam papers or other people’s work.
  5. No spam, no cheating the points. Voting rings and fake accounts stop counting automatically, and can be removed.
  6. Nothing harmful. No bullying, hate, sexual content, violence, or anything illegal.
  7. Report, don’t fight back. Use ⋯ › Report. When three different people report something it’s folded away; anyone can still choose to read it, and a level 3+ teacher can bring it back.

Your account

You must give your real birth year. Teacher accounts are for adults. Keep your password safe; you’re responsible for what happens on your account. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

What you post

You keep ownership of what you post. So that everyone can learn from it, you license your questions, answers and public pages under Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0: others may share and adapt them if they credit Calcali and the author and share alike. Whiteboards you keep to yourself stay private.

Lessons and practice written by Calcali are © Calcali; you may use them freely for teaching and learning, including printing them for your class.

Copyright

If something on Calcali uses your work without permission, use the copyright form. We hide it straight away while we look.

No guarantees

We work hard to get things right, but answers come from the community and may contain mistakes. Calcali is provided as it is, free of charge. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law.

Changes and contact

We’ll tell you in the app before important changes. Questions: safety@calcali.app. Calcali is run by Calcali; these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales unless the law where you live says otherwise.
