What happens to the owl if the mice disappear?
The arrows in a food web point the way the energy goes: from the food to whatever eats it. Everything is linked, so a change in one place spreads. Tap the mouse to take it out of the web and see what’s affected. Does the owl go hungry, or does it have another meal?

The owl still eats thrushes, so it survives, but with less food there may be fewer owls. The fox has lost a meal too and relies on rabbits. And with no mice nibbling it, there’s more grass for the rabbits.
